my scrap philosophy

I scrap for me. I would love to do every page and look at it saying "wow, I'm proud of that"...but sometimes pages get done and are just okay.....that's okay! I don't have perfect days everyday, I'm not a perfect mom all the time, and perfect wife...LOL, let's just say I'm no June Cleaver ;) And those last 10 pounds I lost keep finding their way back...life isn't perfect, and neither is every scrapbook page :)

Two for my "musical theatre" scrapbook

I keep a scrapbook of my programs for the Broadway musicals I see.  It's just a good, old fashioned keepsake type scrapbook (isn't that how they started?).  I keep them 'cause sometimes I like to go back and see the cast, because you never know when you'll see a star (or wanna be star) in the making.  This show was one of those cases!!!

These were both based on Let's Scrap  sketches.

I also used this weeks color combo at SPCC (excuse the lighting, the "dusty durango" parts look like a different color on my layouts, but they are closer to dusty durango than they look.):

1st page based on this sketch:

my layout:

The journal strips on top are a couple of the songs and who they are performed by. My handwritten journaling says "3rd time seeing".

2nd page based on this sketch:

my layout:

(turned sketch on it's side) The journal card points out that one of the leads was played by Constantine Maroulis, from American Idol - this was before he was on AI, and this is exactly why I save my programs! I was watching AI, and kept telling my husband I recognize that guy (it was his chin)...finally I realized it was from a show I had seen, and I went back and checked, and there was his name LOL!

So jealous you saw Rent, its a fav for me and the hubs. ;)

Those pages are great! I love how you kept everything coordinating, but still mixed it up and made them unique. Great job with the color combo! :)
