my scrap philosophy

I scrap for me. I would love to do every page and look at it saying "wow, I'm proud of that"...but sometimes pages get done and are just okay.....that's okay! I don't have perfect days everyday, I'm not a perfect mom all the time, and perfect wife...LOL, let's just say I'm no June Cleaver ;) And those last 10 pounds I lost keep finding their way isn't perfect, and neither is every scrapbook page :)

two challenges...

I did this page for the Cosmo Cricket challenge....90% Cosmo, twist this month is to use "borders" (I went crazy with two border punches on Cosmo paper)...also, the background paper is Core'dinations...from their Cosmo Cricket line.

I also based this on Sketchy Thursdays sketch this week:

Thought I'd share a couple of pics from my weekend...I'd been sick all week, and still not feeling great, but my DH wanted to get me out.  We always forget how lucky we are to live where we do, and sometimes we just like to explore our backyard, so to speak ;)

He printed posters for the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach, so we had free passes to get's a place where a bunch of "artists", or people who call themselves artists (I say this because while some was beautiful, a lot was just juvenile, I could do better, and the prices were, let me say it this way...they thought highly of themselves LOL!).  Still, it was fun to walk around for free...then we walked around downtown Laguna for a bit and grabbed ice cream:

Then on the way home, we stopped at Balboa Island...unfortunately it was Sunday, so the shops were all closing up :(  So we just took a short walk:

for me, it was just good to get out of the house, it was also good to have the room stop spinning long enough for me to scrap!
